Conditions for Return/Exchange:

  • Unworn and Original Condition: The item must be in perfect, unworn condition with all original tags still attached.
  • Proof of Purchase: A valid receipt (in-store purchases) or invoice (online purchases) is mandatory.

Returning In-Store Purchases:

  1. Gather Proof of Purchase: Locate your receipt with purchase details.
  2. Bring the Item to Us: Visit your nearest Centre Ice location with the item and receipt.
  3. Our Staff Will Assist: Our friendly staff will assess the item and offer an exchange or store credit (subject to our policy).

Returning Online Purchases:

  1. Gather Proof of Purchase: Locate your invoice sent with your online order.
  2. Contact Us: Call us at 09-828-0497 or email us to initiate your return/exchange.

Returning by Courier:

  • Pack Securely: Carefully pack your unworn item(s) with original tags attached and your proof of purchase.

  • Courier to Our Address: Send your return package using a courier service to the address below:

Important Note:

  • Include Contact Information: To expedite your exchange, please include a note with your contact details (phone number or email) and your desired size or color (if applicable). This will allow us to contact you quickly once your return arrives.
  • We Don’t Accept Regular Post: Due to delivery limitations, we recommend using a courier service for returns.

Centre Ice is committed to providing excellent customer service and upholding our legal obligations under the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA). This policy outlines the process for returning or exchanging an item, along with what to expect regarding refunds.

What We Can Do:

We’re happy to help if you need to return or exchange an item for the following reasons:

  • Incorrect Size or Fit: We understand sizing can be tricky! We’ll gladly exchange your item for a different size, subject to availability.
  • Faulty Item: If your item has a manufacturing defect or doesn’t function properly, we’ll assess it and provide a replacement (if possible) under the CGA.

What We Can’t Do:

  • Refunds for Change of Mind: Unfortunately, we cannot offer cash refunds for change of mind purchases. This includes situations where you choose the wrong size, color, or model.
  • Exchanges/Returns on Sale Items: Discounted sale items are considered final sale and cannot be exchanged or returned due to change of mind.
  • Note: Any sizing suggestions that are not in store, are based off our professional opinion and preference of fit will only result in an exchange of size or store credit and not a refund.

Exchange or Store Credit:

If you’ve changed your mind about an item, we’ll be happy to offer you an exchange for a different item (subject to availability) or a store credit for the full purchase price. This credit is valid for one year and can be used on any items in-store.

Refunds (Limited Situations):

We will only process cash refunds in the following situations:

  • Online Order Unavailable: If an item you purchased online is unavailable, and we can’t agree on a suitable replacement, we’ll issue a full refund.
  • Our Fault: If the mistake is entirely on our end (e.g., wrong item shipped), we’ll process a full refund.

Returning or Exchanging an Item:

To return or exchange an item, please follow these steps:

  1. Gather Proof of Purchase: You’ll need a valid receipt for in-store purchases or the invoice for online orders.
  2. Ensure Original Condition: The item must be in perfect, unworn condition with original tags attached.
  3. Bring to Store (In-Store Purchases) or Contact Us (Online Purchases): For in-store purchases, bring the item and proof of purchase to a Centre Ice location. Our staff will assess the item and offer an exchange or store credit (if applicable). For online purchases, contact us by phone or email to arrange a return or exchange.

Important Notes:

  • Proof of purchase is mandatory for all returns and exchanges.
  • We reserve the right to deny exchanges or returns that don’t meet our policy guidelines.

Centre Ice strives to deliver your hockey gear quickly and efficiently. We partner with reputable courier services to ensure your order reaches you as soon as possible.

Processing Your Order

Once your online or phone order is confirmed and payment is received, we aim to ship it out the same day. Please allow up to 24 hours for payment processing (especially for Direct Debit payments).

We understand you want your gear fast! Here’s a breakdown of estimated delivery times based on your location:

North Island: Estimated One-Two Day or overnight delivery via New Zealand Couriers.
South Island: Orders typically arrive within two-four business days using New Zealand Couriers’ inter-island service.

Rural: Estimate another One or Two Days for any rural area across New Zealand.

Delivery Estimates: Please remember these are estimated timeframes and don’t include the day your order is placed. Shipment starts the following business day.

Weekends & Holidays: Factor in additional shipping time for weekends and public holidays.

Courier Collection Times: To ensure your order gets picked up for shipment as soon as possible, we have two daily courier collection times, Monday to Friday, at 12pm and 2pm. Orders placed before these times will be prioritized for same-day shipment.

Courier Service: We partner with third-party couriers, so while we ensure your order leaves our warehouse promptly, we cannot control their delivery schedules.

Delayed or Damaged Orders: If your order hasn’t arrived within the estimated timeframe or if it’s damaged upon arrival, please contact us immediately at 09-828-0947.

This page outlines the warranty coverage for Bauer hockey equipment purchased at Centre Ice. We understand that unexpected equipment issues can arise, and we’re here to help.

Warranty Overview:

Bauer, in collaboration with Centre Ice, offers warranties on various hockey equipment. The warranty period depends on the specific product category. This page provides a clear breakdown to help you understand what’s covered and for how long.

What’s Covered:

  • Manufacturer Defects: Warranties cover defects in materials or workmanship that cause the equipment to malfunction during normal use.

Please review the warranty table below for applicable warranty periods for each product. Please note that in order to be eligible for a warranty claim, you must present to us, your original receipt. We will not be able to process your claim, without a valid proof of purchase.

    • Please note that warranty claims, are for any defects in workmanship, within the time frame specified for the item you purchased.
    • Bauer or Centre Ice is not responsible for damages or abrasions to any equipment, as a result of playing the sport. Valid warranty claims will result in a one-time replacement only.

What’s Not Covered:

  • Normal Wear and Tear: Warranties don’t cover damage caused by everyday use.
  • Improper Use: Damage caused by using equipment on inappropriate surfaces or for unintended purposes is excluded.
  • Specific Products: Wood or foam core sticks and replacement blades are not covered under warranty.

Required Documents:

To process a warranty claim, you’ll need to provide the following:

  • Original receipt: This is crucial proof of purchase for all warranty claims.
  • White serial number sticker (composite sticks only): This sticker is located on the shaft of the stick and must be included for composite stick claims.


  • If a claim is submitted within 30 days of purchase, Centre Ice & BAUER Hockey will provide a one-time replacement only of your player or goalie composite stick if damaged due to a manufacturer defect.
  • To process your claim, Bauer & Centre Ice requires your original receipt along with the white serial number sticker. Hand-written receipts will not be accepted. Please keep a photocopy of your receipt for your records. Warranty claims without the required information will not be processed.
  • Note: There is no warranty for wood or foam core sticks or replacement blades. Please also note, that warranty will be voided, if the composite stick has been used on concrete or asphalt or any manner that is outside the intended use of the product.


Processing a Warranty Claim

We offer two convenient ways to submit a warranty claim:

Option 1: Online Claim Form (Preferred)

For a quick and easy experience, we recommend submitting your claim online. See the form below to submit your claim.

In the online form, you will be asked to provide:

  • Your Name
  • Email Address
  • Product Information (category, model, etc.)
  • Attach Proof of Purchase (original receipt)
  • Attach Images of the Damaged Equipment (clearly show the issue)
  • Briefly describe the problem

Once submitted, you’ll receive a confirmation email with further instructions.

Option 2: In-Store Claim

Visit us in store at Centre Ice to process your warranty claim in person. Our staff will be happy to assist you.

What to Expect During an In-Store Claim:

  • Bring your damaged equipment, original receipt.
  • A staff member will process the faulty equipment.
  • Depending on the claim and product availability, you may receive a replacement on the spot or be notified of the wait time.
